Berkeley Running Company-Madison

Spring Seminar Three-Part Series with Dr. Sarah Stineman, Physical Therapist, and Director of the University Avenue Branch of Capitol Physical Therapy.

Session One will be on Tuesday, February 20, from 6:30-7:15, here at the Berkeley Running Company – Madison at our University Avenue Store.

Approximately 80% of fitness injuries are a result of training errors. Learn the most common training errors and how to increase your performance while staying healthy and avoiding pain. Pain is our body’s warning sign before injury, so in this session you will also learn about what type of pain is ok and when you should slow down. We will also discuss strengthening as a key component of injury prevention and practice exercises to address strengthening in each of your key muscle groups.

The Berkeley Running Company – Madison is excited to welcome one of our very own, Dr. Sarah Stineman, to share activities, techniques, strategies to have a successful active lifestyle to finish out our Midwest winter and to jump into our spring. Dr. Stineman graduated from The University of Wisconsin Madison in 2014 and completed her Orthopedic Residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015. She works as an orthopedic and pelvic floor physical therapist at Capitol Physical Therapy and is the Director of the company’s University Avenue location. Dr. Stineman has received multiple national and state awards including the APTA Emerging Leader Award and the WPTA Rookie of the Year Award. Outside of work, she is an avid runner, with her favorite route being the Eagle Heights Trails to Picnic Point. She is a very active member of our Berkeley Babes’ Running Group.
