Race Day Nutrition
Many runners find themselves looking for the perfect way to prepare for their big race day. You will be relieved to know that your diet is something that you do not have to change in preparing for your race. Too many runners have learned the hard way; they try to eat a new type of food the night before their race in hopes that it will improve their performance, only to find out that the miracle meal has upset their stomach. If your diet isn’t broken, don’t try to fix it right before your race!
With that said trying a new diet works best during training. This way you will know how different foods/meals can affect your running and your stomach, and adjust your diet before the day of your race. Once race day comes around, stick with the foods that you have been eating during your training. Your body will thank you!
