I don’t know about you but I’ve been checking and re-checking the sunset times lately. Each day we gain a minute of two more of sunlight. It’s an agonizingly slow process.
While I’ll be running in the dark after work for awhile yet, on March 14, daylight savings time begins and suddenly the sun doesn’t go down till about 7 pm!
To say the least, I’ve gotten sick of running in the dark. It’s exhilarating during the summer months when you might do it for fun once a month or so. But to repeatedly stumble in the dark every night in the cold quickly loses its appeal.
It’s gotten to the point where I look forward to the weekends just so I won’t have to run in pitch black.
But there’s a light at the end of the tunnel (ha ha ha). If you want to drive yourself crazy, here’s a link to a Web site that lists sunset and sunrise times for just about anywhere in the world. Until then, 39 more days till daylight savings time begins!
