AJ began running in high school where he ran cross country and track for Middleton. He is now a sophomore at UW-Eau Claire studying accounting. AJ is setting his sights on running a half-marathon in the future. A big sports fan, AJ considers himself the unofficial batboy for the Atlanta Braves

Dan

Dan has been an avid runner for the last 20+ years. He ran competitively in high school and achieved first team All-State honors at the Iowa State Cross Country Meet. In college, at the University of South Dakota, he was twice an NCAA Div II National Qualifier in Cross Country. Since college, he has competed in several marathons, half-marathons, and sprint triathlons. His favorite races are the Boston Marathon and Quad Cities Triathlon. Besides being passionate about running, other interests include volunteering, live music, healthy food, the stock market, and reading. Dan is the Director of Team Sales for the area high schools and has an extensive background with athletic footwear and apparel.

David Meixelsperger has been an avid runner for most of his life and a marathon runner the past 10 years. Besides many local races, he has participated in the following marathon races: Boston, Chicago, Duluth, Madison, Milwaukee, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, South Bend, and Washington, DC. David also completed the 2004 Wisconsin Ironman triathlon.
David has earned his Ph. D. in Education Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004. He has served as an elementary principal for 12 school years.

Dylan

Dylan is a senior studying kinesiology at the University of Wisconsin. He caught the running bug in high school, back in his hometown of Pittsboro, North Carolina. Dylan was an all-state 1600M runner, as well as an all-conference cross country runner.
Dylan is a big Badger fan, and has traveled around the country following Badger football.

Eric

Eric is currently a philosophy Ph.D. student at UW-Madison. During his undergraduate career at TCU, Eric was a member of the cross country and track teams, competing in distances from 1500m to 10k. More recently, Eric has been competing in distances from the marathon to 50 miles and he hopes to begin competing at longer distances in the next few years. Eric often writes about his weekly training and other running related topics on his blog, which can be accessed at http://ericsenseman.blogspot.com/.

Jay runs to eat and eats to run, a balance which works very well for his life. You might not see him toeing the start line of many races, but you'll see one mean competitive streak if you ever suggest you can out-eat him.

Karl returned to Madison after seven years at UW-La Crosse, where he got a bachelors and masters degree in biology.
Karl has been a runner since high school. He especially likes trail running and is getting into running further distances like marathons and ultras! In addition to running, Karl coaches swimming. Currently he is helping coach the mens team at Memorial High School

Michael

Michael took up distance running two years ago to lose weight. He ran his first half and full marathons in 2009. Since then, Michael has developed an “addiction” to the fun and benefits of running, and enjoys participating in many races around the Madison area. Besides working at Berkeley, Michael leads the Sunday N.R.L.B. run on Sunday afternoons. His enthusiasm toward running and walking is contagious.

Nick is a senior at the UW-Madison, where he is studying Secondary Education. Nick has been a runner since high school, participating in cross-country and track through all his four years, as well as being the captain of both teams his senior year. Since coming to college he has moved on to longer distances and has completely the Madison arathon twice. He is currently trying to pick up swimming and road biking in order to be able to participate in triathlons

Rolando Cruz brings some wonderful synergy to our Berkeley staff. Rolando embraces life and the positive things that lies ahead each day. He loves to spend time with nature through either photography and/or running. Rolando has participated in many local races including the Madison Marathon and run to Stoughton each May, and looks forward to reaching his goals. He has helped speared the minimalistic movement in not only the Madison area, but in the state of Wisconsin as he has led several discussions on the topic at expo events.

Naomi in a senior studying Kinesiology at UW-Madison and plans to continue her studies to become a physical therapist. During her first couple years in high school she slowly started running more. Then, her older brother pushed her to join the track team. After surviving her first season running the 800m and 1600m in track, he also convinced her to join the cross country team. Today, she no longer runs competitively but cannot go a week without running! Aside from running, Naomi also loves to go camping, to live concerts, hiking, kayaking, fishing, biking, photography, and arts & crafts.

Brandon

Brandon comes to Berkeley from just down the road in Cross Plains, where he realized his love of distance running as early as elementary school. His high school days were devoted to his true passion, hockey, where he helped his team reach State Runner-Up in 2011. Brandon is currently a student at UW-Madison, where he enjoys exercising his mind in his study of Indian Philosophy, Psycholinguistics and Latin. He is thrilled to be back in the Madison community, and has rediscovered his childhood passion for running, which has led him to Berkeley.
